Jeju Itinerary 3 Day: Day 1

The first day of the three-day itinerary will be spent in Jeju and the sights along the North East coast.

Enjoy Jeju’s beautiful island! Take a day trip to eastern Jeju starting from your hotel in Jeju City or Seogwipo. You will see the most important sights as well as a delicious Jeju BBQ meal (vegetarian options also available). More information is available.

1. Jeju City

Jeju City is the capital and largest city of Jeju Island. The city has many things to offer. You can explore the city by taking the hop on hop off bus tour bus. Below are the top sites and attractions.

2. Hamdeok Beach

The stunning beach can be found 15 km east of Jeju. This beach is well-known for its crystal blue waters and popularity in the summer months. It is amazing to see the combination of black basalt stones, a beautiful arching bridge and white sand. This is a must-see on Jeju Island. Make sure to include it in your 3 day itinerary.

3. Manjanggul Cave

The Mangjaggul Cave, the largest known lava cavern in the world, is located a little further away from Hamdeok Beach. It measures approximately 5 meters wide and 13 000 metres long. It is possible to walk approximately 1 km into the cave, and exit at the same entrance. Since 2007, it has been a UNESCO world heritage site.

You can walk to the cave from the bus stop in 20 minutes. If you’re lucky, you might be able to get a taxi. This site can be skipped if you are short on time.

4. Haenyeo Museum

The Haenyeo Museum pays tribute to female divers who go out every morning to collect shellfish, fish, and seaweed. Divers are known not to use other diving equipment than a pair of goggles and a diving suit. They also don’t own weights or a bag. This is a very hard job. These women started the job as teenagers and will continue until they can no longer handle the work.

The museum has a variety of exhibitions that showcase culture, daily life, and routines.

5. Seongsan Ilchulbong

The volcanic eruptions of 100 000 years ago created this sunrise peak. It is a massive crater that rises to 182 metres above the sea level. It looks like a huge bowl from the top and it is well worth the short hike to take in the amazing view. Horse riding is a great activity. This area is home to a popular horse riding park. You can find more information about horse riding on Jeju Island by clicking here.

6. Seopjikoji

Seopjikoji is located just a few hundred meters from the sunrise peak. This hill, which is small and beautiful, was used in many dramas and movies, including Gingko Bed and The Uprising.

7. Hanwha Aqua Planet Jeju

Jeju’s aquarium is the largest in East Asia. The aquarium houses more than 5000 marine animals, both from Korea and around the world. Aqua Planet’s unique feature is the special program that allows visitors to see female divers in action.

Jeju Itinerary 3 Day: Day 2

Your second day in Jeju is spent west, enjoying the stunning scenery, delicious food, and beautiful beaches. The Jeju 3d2n itinerary has many museums and beaches, especially the second day.

1. Mysterious Road

The Mysterious Road on Jeju Island is a magnetic hill that is a downhill slope but looks like an uphill one. The optical illusion creates the illusion that objects are rolling uphill when they are placed on the road.

2. Hyeopjae Beach

The west side of the island has a stunning beach. This beach is perfect for relaxing and walking. This beautiful beach is a must-see on your Jeju Island 3 Days itinerary.

The Halli Park is close to the beach. It’s a subtropical forest. Ssangyonggul Cave and Hyeopjaegul Cave are smaller lava tube caverns.

3. Wollyeongri Cactus Village

Jeju is filled with wanders. This tiny village is one of them. On the black lava rocks that line the shore, thousands of cacti grow. These plants, which aren’t native to Korea, are thought to have migrated from Mexico via the Kuroshio stream.

There are a couple of coffee shops and accommodation options in the village.

4. Seogwang Tea Garden & Museum

The largest tea plantation in Korea is the Seogwang Tea Garden, or O’Sulloc Green Tea Plantation. This farm is well-known all over the globe and produces high-quality tea.

The O’Sulloc Tea Museum is located on the ground in the garden. It is Korea’s first tea museum. This museum is dedicated to introducing the Korean tea culture, history, and culture.

The Innisfree Jeju house is a great place to explore cosmetics. This is where you can learn all about the famous Korean brand. Here you can find high-quality local ingredients in cosmetics and food.

This is one the most visited tourist attractions in Jeju!

5. Chocolate Museum

This is the 2nd largest chocolate museum worldwide! It was constructed using volcanic lava rocks, which gives it the appearance of an old castle or fortress. Each floor focuses on a different aspect in the chocolate-making process. You can sample great chocolate at the different exhibitions and then purchase it in the gift shop.

Jeju Itinerary 3 Day: Day 3

The last day of the Jeju 3 Days 2 Nights itinerary will take you to the south and Hallasan mountain.

1. Mt Halla

Your last day in Jeju? Get up early to make your way to Halla Mountain. Hallasan, an active volcano, is a UNESCO heritage. You can reach the top of the mountain via many different routes, with different difficulties and distances.

2. Cheonjeyeon Waterfall

There are three major waterfalls located in the south. Cheonjeyeon Falls is the largest and is named after the pond. According to legend, fairies once bathed in this waterfall.

3. Jusangjeolli Cliff

These unique rock formations can be found not only in Jeju, but also in Gyeongju on mainland Korea. These cliffs are made of basaltic lava rocks. They rise to 20 meters above sea level during high tide.

4. Yakcheonsa Temple

This stunning coastal temple was built during the Silla Dynasty. It is part of the main Buddhist order for Korea. The history of the temple is not well-known.

5. Jeongbang falls

6. Teddy Bear Museum

There are many branches of the teddy bear museums in Korea. They have branches in Jeju, Gyeongju and Seoul. The most expensive teddy bear in the world is located at Jeju’s branch. It costs $2.1 million. This museum is great for children if you have 3 days to spare.
